On a sultry day,
the garden calls,
lilies and smoke bush,
leaves, ever more leaves,
pinch and snip,
Do they hope you pass by,
or are have they been saved,
as they cling to the earth?

Soaked and flattened,
sprayed and arranged,
They summon remembrance,
And joy.
Made aware in silk
and fiber.
Intertwined with the
Burst of unexpected color.
Results. Awe.

Honoring ecology,
Respecting the earth,
The privilege of touch,
Of seeing, of being
one with what you grow.
Water, fire,
Plant and earth.
Steam, the assemblance
of all that is gathered.
Beauty abounds. Sharing
Laughter. Peace.
