2018 is the year to experiment! Although the combination of cyanotypes, eco-dyeing and printing, and rust printing are not going to disappear, Hibiscus is the first eco-print to stand alone. Singing the Blues is a series of cyanotypes on silk, stitched and beaded, but also standing alone. Although the Centered series will combine cyanotypes and eco-prints, the eco-prints are twisted and tied (shibori) and dipped into an indigo pot. And a “paper quilt,” The Language of Trees, is evolving from blocks of paper eco-printed and then embellished. Newest adventures? 3-dimensional work—assemblage and altered books. Stay tuned and come back and visit again. See what happens!
