1976 – 1978
Created, designed, and edited The Smile Factory a weekly, full-page insert written and illustrated by children for children that ran in the morning edition of the Minneapolis newspaper, the Star. (With Joan Radosevich)

1980 – 1990
Owned a marketing communications firm, Creative Associations. Wrote, designed, photographed and/or art directed, and managed production of print materials, slide shows, videos, and training materials for for-profit corporations including Honeywell, Dayton’s, Ecolabs, and Target and nonprofits including Minneapolis Community College for whom we provided all promotional materials over a 10-year period. 1994 – 1995
Women’s Art Registry (WARM) mentorship with Karen Searle. 2-year program culminating with a group exhibition at the Soap Factory. Focused my work on translating my photo images into cyanotypes.

Participated in a group show at the Center For Book Arts. Accordion-style book entitled “Learning Peace.”

 2004 – 2006
Wrote the grant for and coordinated creative work with four racial/cultural groups (Ethiopian, Hmong, Latino, and Somali). Culminated in a textile exhibition, Stories in Cloth, at the Textile Center of Minnesota in 2006. (With Karen Searle)

One-person exhibition entitled Under the Influence at the Institute for Health and Healing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
